The Canine Collection
Design by Suzie Lee Henderson
Dogs play a special role in our lives. They are our friends, loyal companions, and often the first to greet us when we come home. "Canine Collection: An Embroidered Celebration of the Dogs We Love" was created to celebrate this bond through embroidery. This collection includes patterns for stitching some of our favorite dog breeds. Each pattern is designed with simple lines and thoughtful details that show their unique personalities. Whether you are stitching your faithful friend, remembering one from the past, or creating a gift, I hope you enjoy bringing these beloved pets to life.

Get Creative
The patterns in this collection are designed primarily with simple outline stitches, making them a great embroidery project for both beginners and those with years of experience.
You don’t need to follow every suggestion exactly. Think of the patterns, colors, and stitch choices as a starting point. Choose the threads you love, experiment with different stitches, and add your own touches along the way. After all, no two dogs are exactly alike, and your embroidery doesn’t have to be either.

The Inspiration
I wanted these patterns to feel approachable and enjoyable to stitch, while still capturing the little details that make each breed recognizable and unique. My hope is that you’ll make them your own by changing colors, adding a name, or adjusting small details to remind you of a particular dog you love.
